The Tip Credit SMS program

Tip Credit (operated by Cypress Consulting) sends text messages to business owners who ask for a FICA Tip Credit estimate and opt in. Messages about your estimate confirm we received your request, send your official application link, arrange a call, and follow up if we haven't reached you. Marketing messages are occasional texts about other tax credits and services for your business.

How you opt in

The estimate form has two separate checkboxes. Both are optional and unchecked; you can get your estimate without either. We only text you if you tick a box. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

How to opt out

Text STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You can also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT. You'll get one final message confirming you've been unsubscribed. To start again, reply START.

Carrier liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and the account holder (or authorized user) of the mobile number you provide.

Privacy

We never sell or share your mobile number or texting consent with third parties for their marketing. See our privacy policy and terms of service.

Tip Credit is an independent referral partner of Tip Tax Refund, a CPA firm. We are not a CPA firm and do not prepare tax returns. Applications are completed directly with Tip Tax Refund, which determines eligibility and prepares any filing.

Fee: 25% of the credit recovered, charged by Tip Tax Refund only if a credit is recovered. The estimate is free.

Eligibility is determined by CPA review. Results vary based on each business's tax situation. The FICA Tip Credit (IRC §45B) is claimed on IRS Form 8846; estimates on this page are illustrative. Tip Credit does not provide tax or legal advice and is not affiliated with the IRS or any government agency.
